If you wish to deregister your vehicle licence plate from the Austrian GO toll system and return your GO-Box to us, you can do so in two ways:
- Returning the GO-Box to a GO point of sale
- Return by post:

When returning the unit by post, please note the following two points:
- Disable the GO-Box in the SelfCare portal before you send it back to us to avoid toll collections. In the vehicle list, find the GO-Box for the licence plate number you want to disable. Click the licence plate number and select ‘Returning your GO Box’ in the action menu.
We can also disable the GO-Box for you. Enter your PAN (Personal Account Number). You will find this on the vehicle declaration and on every point of sale receipt. - Return the GO-Box only from EU countries! Unfortunately, it is not possible to return a GO-Box that is no longer required from non-EU countries due to customs costs. Please return the unit to a GO point of sale.
You will receive a refund of the remaining credit on pre-pay GO-Boxes:
Did you top up the credit in cash or with Maestro (debit card)? Please provide us with your bank details (account holder, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT) for the transfer.
Are you returning the GO-Box to a GO point of sale? You will receive your remaining credit in cash right away.
Did you last top up with a card? We will refund the remaining credit to that card.
