Adhesive vignette:

The mere purchase of an adhesive vignette is not sufficient. You may only drive on the toll road network once the vignette has been correctly affixed to the windscreen. This means:

• it is clearly visible and can be checked from the outside.
• it sticks to the inside of the windscreen completely and without any aids.
• it is outside the tinted strip.
• it is undamaged and the security features are not visible.

Digital vignette:

Please check whether the information on your receipt is correct (vehicle license plate number, state of registration).

In our validity query, you can check at any time whether your digital toll product is valid. 

If the Austrian motorway and expressway network is used without a valid vignette, the owner of the registration will receive a substitute toll request (Austria, Switzerland) or an information letter (European Union).

By paying the payment request in full and on time, you will avoid the initiation of administrative penalty proceedings.

If you move house, the digital vignette must be transferred to the new vehicle licence plate number in the toll shop's customer account in good time. This does not happen automatically!

In other cases, too, you can re-register your digital vignette to a new vehicle license plate number under certain conditions.

Tip: If you do not yet have an ASFINAG customer account, create one in our toll shop and then assign your purchased product to your account. Then you can manage your products quickly and conveniently yourself.

The digital vignette is bound to the licence plate number. It is the responsibility of our customers to enter the correct license plate number.

Under certain conditions, you can re-register your digital vignette for a new vehicle license plate number.

Tip: If you do not yet have an ASFINAG customer account, create one in our toll shop and then assign your purchased product to your account. Then you can manage your products quickly and conveniently yourself.

If you have received a scratch card for ordering a digital vignette, you must activate it in the toll shop and complete the order process.

In our validity query, you can check at any time whether your digital toll product is valid. 

If the query shows that there is not yet a valid digital vignette for your vehicle licence plate number, activate your digital vignette in the toll shop using the registration code from your scratch card.

After successful activation, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail.

When purchasing the digital vignette online, you have a right of withdrawal as a consumer. Therefore, your product is only valid from the 18th day after purchase. Please note the validity period on the order confirmation.

If the windscreen is replaced, your adhesive annual vignette becomes invalid as soon as it is detached from the original windscreen. 

Please apply for a replacement vignette or a refund for the cost to purchase a new annual vignette when replacing the windscreen.
