You can find the reason for the substitute toll in the letter under offence type.
If you have not paid the toll correctly, you will have to pay the substitute toll.
The substitute toll rates (including 20% VAT) for the incorrect payment of the toll are given below:

The payment period is 4 weeks from the date of issue. Please note that contacting us does not extend the payment period.
Transfer the substitute toll to the account specified in the payment request. State the identification number correctly when making the transfer. You will find this on the payment request/information letter.
Payment by instalments or partial payments is not possible.
Late payments will be returned immediately, and partial payments will be returned after the payment period has expired. In both cases, a processing fee of EUR 15 will be charged. If administrative penalty proceedings are initiated, such payments will not be taken into account. The required substitute toll is then considered unpaid.
By making the full and timely payment, you can avoid administrative penalty proceedings.
If administrative penalty proceedings are nevertheless initiated, you will be contacted by the relevant authority. If you have any questions, always contact this authority, as we are not responsible for administrative penalty proceedings.
You can request a copy of the payment request/information letter in writing. Requesting a copy of the invoice does not extend the payment period.
