If you have not paid the GO toll correctly, you will have to pay it retroactively. This is only possible under certain conditions!
To avoid substitute toll requests, please note the following options for retroactive payment and the corresponding payment deadlines:
Retroactive payment at a GO point of sale
Within 5 hours and 100 km
- Toll not paid
e.g. credit balance too low or GO-Box disabled - Toll only partially paid
Incorrect number of axles, incorrect rate-relevant characteristics or vehicle type
Retroactive payment by telephone or in the SelfCare portal
within 96 hours
- Toll only partially paid
Incorrect number of axles, incorrect rate-relevant characteristics or vehicle type
You can pay the GO toll in various ways.
Choose between the following payment methods: prepaid (minimum top-up amount EUR 75) or postpaid.
We accept:
- GO Direkt – ASFINAG payment service: You pay the GO toll directly to ASFINAG, without going through a payment provider.
- Credit cards
- Fuel cards
- For prepaid: cash

The best way to calculate the costs for your planned route is to use the toll calculator or toll calculator light.
The total rate for vehicles with a maximum technically permissible laden mass of more than 3.5 tonnes is made up of
- Infrastructure costs (differentiated according to CO₂ emission classes)
- Rate for charging the costs of traffic-related air pollution and noise pollution (differentiated according to EURO emission classes)
- Rate for charging the costs of traffic-related CO2 emissions
The actual amount of the toll depends on the number of axles and the distance travelled. On the A 13 Brenner motorway section toll segment, a separate night rate also applies between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
